When you are the airborne emergency provider for emergency medical care in Southeastern Wisconsin, your aviation hangar concrete floors have to be high performing.

This Wisconsin Aviation client knew exactly whom to partner with for their Epoxy Coated Concrete and Urethane Coated concrete floors: Floorcare USA, Inc.
Epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete flooring systems are critical in the performance of aviation hangars and FBO- Fixed Base Operations.
Epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete floors help in the overall maintenance, cleanliness, performance evaluation and professional appearance of the facility.

Epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete floors allow the aviation client to:

  1. Eliminate concrete dusting, to protect the performance of the air planes
  2. Identify fluid looks quickly, so the type of the fluid aids in knowing what’s wrong with the plane
  3. Resist chemical damage and staining of the concrete
  4. Significantly improve light reflectivity to give a brighter, more vibrant facility and reduce lighting costs
  5. Have an enormous impact on image, giving the aviation a world-class, professional feel
  6. Promotes safety by engineering high traction elements to the floors where needed
  7. Improves cleanliness of the facility and reduces maintenance costs; epoxy coated and urethane coated concrete floor are easier to clean.

On this Waukesha, Wisconsin epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete floor, Floorcare USA performed the following system:
The concrete floors were mechanically steel shot blasted to a CSP3 profile and all concrete edges were hand diamond grinded.
Once the concrete floors were properly prepped a high moisture epoxy concrete coating primer system was installed and allowed to cure.
One the high moisture tolerant epoxy coated concrete primer was installed, Floorcare USA then mechanically diamond saw cut the joints and filled with with polyurea joint filler and allowed them to cure.
Floorcare USA then applied a base coat of epoxy concrete coatings in client selected colorant and allowed it to fully cure.
Once the epoxy base coating had cured, Floorcare USA mechanically abraded the surface and applied one coat of CRU- Chemical Resistent Urethane coatings for concrete in white colorant to the main body of the hangar floors and allowed to cure. Then in the time window for a chemical bond, Floorcare USA applied a second coat of CRU-Chemical Resistant Urethane coating in client selected colorant and allowed to fully cure.
Once the main body of the concrete slab had been coated with Epoxy coatings for concrete and Urethane coatings for concrete Floorcare USA then started with the decorative portion of the project. Floorcare hand measured to great detail and set out a taped border to install a 2-color decorative border to the epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete surface in the clients customized colors of Blue and Orange.

Once the taped grid was set out, Floorcare then mechanically abraded the epoxy coated concrete surface and urethane coated concrete surfaces and applied the custom color orange urethane and blue urethane coatings to the concrete surface in a two coat application process.

The urethane concrete coatings system was specially engineered to be High Traction under wet conditions while still being easy to clean.
Upon completion, his Waukesha, Wisconsin aviation client has some of the most beautiful and high performing epoxy coated concrete and urethane coated concrete floors in the Milwaukee area and in the State of Wisconsin.
