When a Mequon, WI candy shop owner was looking for the perfect concrete flooring system for her new candy shop she worked with Floorcare USA, Inc., of Waukesha, WI to engineer the perfect flooring system for her business.
This Mequon, WI business needed to have a concrete flooring system that had decorative elements for her FOH – Front of House and specific performance requirements for the BOH – Back of House where food and beverage processing of food products for human consumption would occur.

For the FOH floors, we mechanically diamond grinded the clients concrete, then patched defects in the concrete and diamond saw cut the concrete joints and filled them with polyurea joint filler. Once the floors were prepped, we primed the floors with a solid color epoxy primer and then a solid color base coat of epoxy to resurface the concrete cap.
Once this portion of the work was done, Floorcare USA then applied the Florotallic Metallic epoxy concrete floor coating system in the client selected colorant and utilized installation techniques to achieve, swirls and random results to achieve a unique look that the client was going for.
Florotallic is a decorative flooring system with the look of a shimmering metallic stain. The versatile Florotallic can be used with a wide range of Florock flooring products, and is available in a variety of colors and decorative effects to provide a unique and exciting floor.

On this particular Mequon, Wisconsin food and beverage processing facility project Floorcare USA Inc., first performed moisture testing of the slab to determine moisture levels were in proper tolerance levels.
Once the testing was done, Floorcare USA, Inc., mechanically steel shotblasted the concrete to a CSP3 prep profile and hand diamond grinded all edges for a clean and bondable surface for the Urethane Modified Cement concrete flooring system. Once the floors were properly prepped, Floorcare USA then primed the surface with Florocrete P, urethane modified cement concrete resurfacing system and allowed the Florocrete P to cure. After the primer system was cured, Floorcare USA, Inc., then installed the Florocrete RT Urethane Modified Cement flooring system at a 1/4” thick and allowed it fully cure.
Next, after the Florocrete RT was cured, Floorcare USA, Inc., then performed a full broadcast to achieve a textured/grit profile that was engineered specifically to the SCOF (static coefficient of friction) traction profile that the client desired. When the Florocrete system had fully cured, Floorcare USA, Inc., then performed and urethane grout system of Florospartic – Poylspartic coating system and allowed it fully cure.
